My name is Wendy Lord.  I have been practising as a dietician since 1999, so I feel that it is safe to say that I have a fair amount of experience under my belt.  I have been in the privileged position of helping people to achieve their health goals, by guiding them towards making better food and lifestyle choices.

Let’s be honest… None of these changes are easy!  They are especially difficult when life happens.  And life happens all the time!  Being healthy and eating well is an on-going challenge for many – myself included.  We all have daily tasks and challenges to tackle, eating well shouldn’t be one of them.  In an ideal world, this would come naturally.  But, we don’t live in an ideal world, so paying attention to what we eat, in amongst all of the tempting foods that flood our senses, has become something we need to focus on.

My aim with this blog is to help you focus on the right foods and meal plan for you.  I want to be the voice of reason that helps you sift through the mountains of information available in today’s world.  A world where everyone is a nutrition expert.  I tend to be more conservative in my approach to healthy meal plans, but in challenging you to eat well, I will no doubt be challenging myself to break out of the box and try something new.  There is no one-size-fits-all diet plan.  Although we are all human and our basic requirements are the same, there are minute differences that exist between people on a genetic level that have enormous implications on how the food we eat is metabolised and used in the body.

This blog is for the normal, average person, struggling to stay on the straight-and-narrow.  It is for the person who has been trying to lose weight for years, with varying levels of success. It is for those who have been diagnosed with a condition related to a less than healthy lifestyle.  And anyone else who is interested in what I have to say.  I want to help you to achieve your goals and become the most healthy version of yourself that you have ever been.
